Educational purpose

Everything published on kagesystem.com — articles, guides, configuration examples, command sequences, and code — is provided for general information and education. It is not professional security advice, and it is not a substitute for an assessment of your own systems by someone who has actually looked at them.

Security guidance is contextual. A hardening step that is correct for an internet-facing VPS may break a system behind a corporate proxy, violate a compliance baseline, or lock you out of your own machine. We do not know your environment, your threat model, your uptime obligations, or your regulatory constraints. You do.

No client relationship

Reading this site, subscribing to our newsletter, or corresponding with us about an article does not create a client, advisory, or contractual relationship. A Kage System engagement begins only when both parties sign a written agreement. Until then, nothing here should be relied upon as advice given to you specifically.

Run it on your own systems first

Commands and configurations published here can change system state irreversibly: firewall rules can sever your access, SSH changes can lock you out, and service reconfiguration can cause downtime. Before applying anything from this site to a system you care about, understand what each step does, test it somewhere disposable, confirm you have out-of-band access, and take a backup or snapshot you have actually verified you can restore.

You are solely responsible for what you run on your infrastructure and for any consequences of doing so.

Authorised use only

Some of our content covers reconnaissance, OSINT, and offensive security techniques, because you cannot defend against methods you do not understand. This material is published for defenders, researchers, and authorised testers.

Use these techniques only against systems you own or for which you hold explicit, documented authorisation from the owner. Unauthorised access to a computer system, interception of communications, and unauthorised data collection are criminal offences under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Serbia and under comparable legislation in most other jurisdictions. Collecting and processing information about identifiable people — even from public sources — additionally engages data protection law, and being publicly available does not make personal data free to use.

Kage System accepts no responsibility for unlawful use of information published here. If your intended use is unlawful, this content is not for you.

Accuracy and currency

We take reasonable care to get things right, and we correct errors when we find them or when they are reported. Even so, security content dates quickly: software changes, defaults change, vulnerabilities are patched, and a technique that was sound when written may be obsolete or actively harmful a year later. Articles carry a publication date and, where revised, an updated date — check them, and verify against current upstream documentation before acting.

We give no warranty that content on this site is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

External links

This site links to third-party documentation, tools, and repositories. Those resources are not under our control. We link to them because they were useful at the time of writing, which is neither an endorsement nor a guarantee of their content, safety, or availability. Review any third-party tool before running it, particularly one that asks for elevated privileges or credentials.

Product statements

Statements about products in development, including Kage OAT, describe current intent rather than committed functionality. Features, availability, pricing, and timelines may change or be abandoned. Nothing on this site is a binding offer or a commitment to deliver.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kage System accepts no liability for any loss or damage — including data loss, service interruption, security incidents, or financial loss — arising from reliance on content published on this website. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Reporting a problem

If an article contains a factual error, an unsafe instruction, or a security issue, tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it. We would rather be corrected than be wrong in public.
